Indoors January to March, 0.5cm (¼") deep in pots or trays of seed compost. Keep moist and maintain a temperature of approx. 15-20°C (60-68°F). Transplant to individual pots when plants are large enough to handle and reduce temperature to approx. 15°C (60°F). Harden off late April and plant out to large pots, growing bags or the greenhouse border when plants are approx. 15cm (6") tall. Or for outdoor plants, as for greenhouse crops, but sow March to May and harden off in early June before planting out in a sheltered spot. Harvest: June to October.
