This exciting variety produces high yielding, slender, smooth, jade green fruits with a mild-sweet flavour. Flesh is dense and holds together well when cooked.
Popular in Asian culinary and makes attractive plants for patio containers as they are relatively compact and show good resistance to disease. Can be grown in a greenhouse or in a sheltered spot in the garden. Fruits reach 17cm(6.5in) in length.

Sow indoors: January-April, 1.5cm(1/2") deep in pots or trays of seed compost. Keep moist and warm at approx. 20-25C(68-75F). Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Remove cover when seedlings appear, then transplant to 7.5cm(3") pots when large enough to handle. Gradually harden off and plant out late May-June, avoid frosts, ideally in large pots or containers and place in a sunny, sheltered spot. Keep moist and weed-free. For greenhouse crops, transplant to growing bags or large pots in the greenhouse in May-June.
Harvest: August-October, outdoor crops will be smaller and later.
