Squash (Winter) Mashed Potato Vegetable Seeds
An attractive 'acorn' squash, a type known for its great flavour and plentiful autumn crops.
This novel variety has soft pale flesh which can be mashed just like potatoes but with a fraction of the calories. Produces 5-6 fruits per plant. The bright white squashed hold their colour well.
Planting & Harvesting
Sow & Grow
Sow indoor:March-May, one seed per small pot, 1.5cm(1/2in) deep. Place seeds on edge to prevent rotting. Keep moist and warm at approx. 18-21oC(65-70oF). Grow on in cooler conditions. Harden off at 5-6 leaf stage and plant out in June, spacing 1.2m(4ft) apart.
Harvest: July-first frosts, store for later use in cool, dry conditions.
