An evergreen carpet of pretty white flowers with distinctive swollen sepals behind them. This plant is robust and resilient, as it is mainly found growing wild on coastal gravel beds, rocky outcrops and cliff tops. Making it ideal for containers, path edging, rock gardens and edging wildlife areas where they will attract many pollinators.

Sow & Grow
Sow indoors: for surest results, in trays of compost. Cover very lightly with fine soil. Water well and place on a warm windowsill. Seedlings appear in 14-42 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm(2in) apart to further trays when large enough to handle. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts) before planting out 15cm(6in) apart. Sow outside: in a seed bed, cover very lightly with fine soil. Keep moist and weed free. Thin seedlings to 5cm(2in) apart before planting out to flowering position in spring or autumn, spacing 15cm(6in) apart.
