If you place an order online or purchase a product from us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processor, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. These details are passed from you via our systems securely via SSL secure sockets layer encryption and/or tokenisation where numbers are replaced with alternative information to protect the actual credit card numbers.
How is your information used?

- process orders that you have submitted
- to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us

How long do we retain your information?

Who has access to your information – Third Parties?
We work with Service providers - such as credit card processors, call center providers, consultants, gardening software providers and catalogue distribution companies, in order to support Mr Fothergill’s websites and business operations. We contractually require these recipients to only use personal data for the intended purpose of the disclosure and that they destroy or return it when it is no longer needed.
We work with Epsilon Abacus (registered as Epsilon International UK Ltd), a company that manages the Abacus Alliance on behalf of UK retailers. The participating retailers are active in the clothing, collectables, food & wine, gardening, gadgets & entertainment, health & beauty, household goods, and home interiors categories. They share information on what their customers buy. Epsilon Abacus analyses this pooled information to help the retailers understand consumers’ wider buying patterns. From this information, retailers can tailor their communications, sending people suitable offers that should be of interest to them, based on what they like to buy.

Your Choice – Marketing Preferences
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. We do not currently undertake phone or text marketing. Where we do ask for your phone number is for order support to notify/contact you about delivery dates and times. Please note: Some of our products can only be purchased if we have this information and this is shown on our website or catalogue and Is not used for marketing.
