Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
The EU has introduced legislation relating to recycling "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment" ("WEEE"). Currently, most WEEE is disposed of with general domestic waste and is land filled. Separate collection allows WEEE to be recycled; this saves energy and resources and avoids hazardous materials from WEEE going to landfill. On new items of electronic equipment which you buy you will see the symbol:.

This symbol means that you should not dispose of this product in your dustbin with your mixed domestic waste. You should dispose of this product separately.
Under these regulations we are obliged to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new electrical or electronic product from us. Such items can be returned to us (carriage paid by the customer) at our normal address, within 28 days of purchasing the new item. Please mark these items "WEEE return". We will then ensure proper environmental disposal. In helping to separately collect WEEE you will ensure that recycling, as required by the WEEE Directive, takes place and the amount of WEEE being land filled is reduced thereby helping to improve the environment.
