Sow: Indoors February to April, a quarter-inch (0.5cm) deep in pots or trays of seed compost. Maintain a gentle warmth, 15-20°C (60-68°F) and keep moist. Thin (prick out) to further pots or trays when seedlings are large enough to handle. Gradually harden off in May before planting out to final position 24in (60cm) apart. Or sow outdoors, May to July, a half-inch (1.5cm) deep in flowering position and keep moist until established. Space out to approx. 24in (60cm) apart.
