Planting & Harvesting
Sow & Grow
Sow indoors: February-May, 2cm(¾") deep, on edge, in 7.5cm(3") pots of seed compost. Keep moist and warm at approx. 21C(70F). When the seedlings have developed 3-4 leaves, transplant to 12cm(5") pots. Grow on in colder conditions, but not cold. Space 90cm (3') apart in greenhouse borders or set in grow bags or large containers. Train the plants as they develop, removing side shoots from the first 4-6 leaf axils. Pinch out the growing tip when plants reach the roof. Keep the greenhouse atmosphere humid and shade to avoid scorching in hot weather.
Harvest: July-October
