A most attractive variety from the same breeder as the ever-popular Climbing Bean Cobra! Beans are stringless with good disease resistance ensuring reliable, high quality crops. The long and slender, pods have a sweet, mild flavour and are a golden shade of yellow. With pods reaching up to 10cm(7in) long, they stand out nicely against the bright green foliage. You can expect high yields of tasty beans from July right through to October, with regular picking.
Planting & Harvesting
Sow & Grow
Sow indoors: April-May, 1.5cm(1/2in) deep in pots of seed compost. Keep moist. Gradually harden off before planting out to final position in June, spacing plants 30cm(1ft) apart. Sow outdoors: May-July, 2.5cm(1in) deep in rows 45cm(18in) apart in growing position. Keep soil moist. Thin out to 30cm(1ft). Keep weed free and well watered in dry weather. Provide poles or netting for plants to climb.
