Often ready for harvesting from as early as February, earlier still if forced, this much loved variety remains as popular as ever. It produces long and thick, red based sticks with an excellent flavour. Supplied as large, hand graded crowns.
For the last 20 years or so, breeders have been aiming to find a main season strawberry that can match and perhaps even surpass Elsanta. This variety is, in the opinion of many experts, the one to do it. The fruit is firmer, the average berry size is larger and the fruit picks more cleanly. Mature plants have an extended flowering period, giving a succession of trusses for picking from mid/late June to mid July.

A cross between Rosie and Marmolada, we think this to be the earliest fruiting variety currently available, fruiting from early June or even earlier if grown under cloches. The large, well-shaped berries have a sweet and juicy flavour and a glossy finish.
