Sowing/Planting and Flowering/Harvesting Guide

JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC

Key       Sow Indoors       Sow/Plant Outside       Flowers/Harvest

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow indoors, February-March, in pots or trays of seed compost, just covering the seeds. Keep moist, but not saturated, and maintain a temperature of 18-20°C (65-68°F); a warm kitchen windowsill is often sufficient. Thin (prick out) seedlings to other pots or trays when large enough to handle. Gradually harden off, May-early June, before planting out to flowering position, spacing 20cm (8”) apart. Prefers a warm, sunny position. Flowers: June to October.
Remove dead heads to prolong the flowering season.
